LYMPHATIC DRAINAGE

Dr Vodder’s Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) is an advanced therapy in which the practitioner uses a range of specialised and gentle rhythmic pumping techniques to move the skin in the direction of lymph flow, stimulating the lymphatic vessels which carry substances vital to the defence of the body, removing waste products, reducing swelling and boosting the metabolism and immune system.

LIPOEDEMA MANAGEMENT

Lipoedema is a hereditary condition which predominantly affects women, it's characterized by an irregular accumulation of fat cells in certain areas of the body, especially the hips, legs, buttocks and occasionally arms, but never the feet and hands.

Lymphoedema is the name give to areas of chronic swelling in the body. It occurs when an accumulation of protein-rich fluid, known as lymph collects in the tissues, causing localised areas of swelling. It is usually caused by damage or trauma to the lymphatic system which disrupts the body's ability to filter the lymph fluid back into the circulatory system. Lymphoedema can be classed as either secondary or primary.
